Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is a term for two conditions (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis) that are characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. The Institute of Biomedical Sciences at Georgia State University in Atlanta recently discovered a connection between consumption of certain food and drink cause problems with IBD.
