Abbott’s Coronavirus Test ‘Inaccurate for Nearly 50 Million People’

Researchers from the Cleveland Clinic tested 239 specimens of the coronavirus among five of the most used tests including Abbott Laboratories’ ID NOW test. The test was hailed for being able to detect a positive result in just five minutes and a negative result in 13 minutes. However, the ID NOW Abbott test may inaccurately register in nearly 50 million testers in the US.
