Overweight ‘Biggest Risk Factor for Coronavirus Hospitalizations’

Over 70 million adults in U.S. are obese (35 million men and 35 million women). 99 million are overweight (45 million women and 54 million men). Two New York University studies looking at 8,000 patients found having a BMI above 30 were the biggest risk factors for COVID-19 admissions. So, what is the reason behind why more coronavirus hospitalization occur in overweight people?
