Parasite that causes ‘explosive diarrhea’ is found in DOZENS of wraps and salads sold nationwide at Trader Joe’s and Walgreens, health officials warn

More than two dozen types of salads and wraps sold nationwide at Trader Joe’s and Walgreens may contain parasites, officials warn.

The products, distributed by Indianapolis-based Caito Foods, were found to be contaminated with cyclospora, which causes ‘explosive diarrhea’ up to six weeks after consuming it.

It is the same parasite which has sickened more than 200 McDonald’s customers across the country after they ate the chain’s salads.
