Plant-based Food Product Builds Muscle ‘Twice as FAST as Whey Protein’

In the human diet, protein is a source of around 10 to 15 per cent of the body’s energy and is the second most common compound in the body, behind water. Many health-conscious consumers want non-animal derived sources of healthier protein to build and maintain muscle, amid a growing plant-based diet movement. A team of scientists from the University of Exeter claim, that a plant-based protein is better for building muscle than protein from dairy sources, such as whey or casein powders.
