Common late-night habit could shorten your life by decades, warns doctor…and we’re all guilty of it

Some 60 percent of Americans have done it at least once, according to polls. And around 80 percent of us are at high risk of the behavior.

Falling asleep in front of the TV is easily done – especially if you are hooked on your favorite Netflix series.

But it may be doing more damage than you realize – and could even shorten your life, said Dr Joe Whittington, an emergency medicine doctor based in California with almost two million TikTok followers.
