Secret to anti-aging: Drinking eight glasses of water every day can prolong your life for up to 15 YEARS and slash the risk of heart attacks, strokes and dementia, study suggests

Adults who stay well-hydrated live years longer and are far less likely to develop chronic health conditions, a major US Government-funded study suggests.

Researchers are encouraging people to drink the recommended eight glasses a day to reap the benefits, adding that it appears to ‘slow down aging’.

The study of more than 11,000 over-30s tracked sodium levels in the blood, which increase when you drink less fluid.
