Under-20s are half as likely to become sick with Covid-19 as over-70s, according to research.
London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine academics also found only 21 per cent of infected 10 to 19-year-olds had symptoms.
In comparison, the rate among over-70s — considered to be the most vulnerable to the disease — was three times higher (69 per cent).
