Children born to overweight mothers have measureable brain damage and cognitive skills deficiency. A study by researchers at UT Austin and Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York was not done to shame or scare overweight women intending to become pregnant, but rather to point-out, that there are consequences associated with a mothers weight and the health of their babies.
