Greenfingers have long argued spending time in the garden can ease stress, keep you fit, and even improve mood.

Now scientists have proved it is the most therapeutic space in the home.

The recent study by the Medical University of Vienna, found the green space was significantly more relaxing than lounges, balconies and even terraces.

The relationship people have with the garden was key, according to Vienna’s Center for Public Health.
