Ozempic and other similar drugs are in a class known as GLP-1 that help manage blood sugar in people with Type 2 diabetes. No GLP-1 drug such as Ozempic, can treat obesity or Type 2 diabetes alone. Both conditions require other treatment strategies, like lifestyle and dietary changes. Thousands of Americans are suing the makers of Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and other GLP-1 drug makers claiming they caused them life-altering injuries.
