Dr. Bob,

Thanks for the quick response. I would like to give the Chiropractic profession a stroker. Back in early 1980’s, I was having horrible health problems. Mainly fast heart beat, tightness in chest, weakness for no apparent reason, just driving down road, or sometimes just the “exertion” of bending over to pick up something. I’d go to emergency room, they’d hook me up, BP would be 160-180/120. An hour later they’d wonder why I was there because all would drop to normal. This happened dozens of times and was affecting my teaching, forestry, outdoor activities. I finally gave in and went to Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, and spent three days of hell being herded around like an animal. Conclusion: nothing wrong physically, so it must be in my head. Also, it couldn’t be hypoglycemia because they didn’t believe there was such a thing.

I went back to work still having same problems. I learned of a Chiropractor in a small town who dealt with these “strange” health problems. He used applied kinesiology, diagnosed heavy metal poisoning, lead and mercury. I painted houses summers for years starting before lead paint ban, my home was over 100 years old with lead pipes, etc. He put me on a special diet considering my food sensitivities, used some natural concoction of herbs and? for each poison, one at a time. I went thru horrible withdrawal symptons for about 2 months but I slowly started to improve. It took some time and visits with adjustments and supplements. I taught another ten years with no more attacks, retired early because I couldn’t deal with diminishing quality of the incoming students. I’m not sure, but I feel the metal poisoning was part of the trigger for the panic attacks. Along the stress of teaching in a small college.

I thank God there is an alternative to dealing with the problems of the human body besides poison drugs and “godlike” Mayo doctors. Unfortunately, because of this and some other horrors, I don’t trust traditional med doctors. I also take no prescription drugs because I don’t trust them.

You have guided me thru quite a few concerns over past 4 years. I had a physical 18 months ago and the only thing doctor pointed out was my high cholesterol and my marginal BP, but it always goes up when I am in the clinic. I’ll beat these over the next months.

Thanks again for your unselfish help. Ron P.
