I am allergic to most medication prescribed to me. Reactions are hives, rapid heart beats, so I have given up ANY kind of DRUGS.
My mother worked for a Norwegen Dr. during WWI, he was a herbalist. That teaching was handed down to my sisters and brothers, we were never given any medications growing up. Of the seven of us I am the only one that has had terrible reaction to medication.
