COVID-19 Nearly Eliminated By Vitamin D In Hospitalizations

One good thing coming out of this outbreak is that more people are exploring the science to staying healthy, beyond tending to your overall metabolic health researchers have found a connection between vitamin D and immunity, and according to recent research, this is just the beginning.

Those with a vitamin D deficiency have been found to have a higher risk of mortality from COVID-19, now a randomized and controlled clinical trial has found supplementation of vitamin D to be effective in lowering the rate of COVID-19 intensive care unit admissions.

The report published in the Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology describes the study involving 76 COVID-19 patients with pneumonia in Spain who were split into 2 groups with both receiving the same medical treatment based on hospital protocol but one group received a daily Calcifediol supplement that they stopped taking after being discharged from the hospital.
