Loss of Sleep Linked to Early Signs of Alzheimer’s Disease

While sleep requirements vary slightly from person to person, most healthy adults need between 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night to function at their best. A new study from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis has found that a specific type of sleep when decreased is associated with early signs of Alzheimer’s disease. If you don’t wake-up in the morning feeling completely refreshed, energetic, rely on caffeine or nap during the day – you may be at-risk of Alzheimer’s disease.
