An extra hour in bed isn’t the only benefit of the clocks going back this weekend. Those additional 60 minutes sleep could, in fact, have a profound impact on your health. A recent study by University of Colorado scientists showed that in the two to three days immediately after the autumn time switch, lives are being saved  And when the clocks jump forward an hour in the spring, a serious health problem jumps 25 per cent almost immediately and more people die unnecessarily.
