Eye drops and ointments sold at Walmart and Walgreens have been recalled because they may not be sterilized.
Altaire Pharmaceuticals Inc, based in New York, is recalling 23 over-the-counter medications and certain prescriptions.
The company says the recall is due to a ‘potential for nonsterility’, according to a release from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
