People diagnosed with cancer should get tailored advice to help them boost their survival chances by living healthily.

Macmillan Cancer Support and other experts are calling for patients to be given ‘prehabilitation’.

They found those who eat lots of fruit and vegetables, exercise, stop smoking and cut down drinking are more likely to survive and tolerate better treatments.
