Statins are the most commonly prescribed drug in the world. Currently, 30 million people in the US are thought to take statins also known as cholesterol lowering drugs. Scientists at the Erasmus Medical Centre in the Netherlands analyzed data from 9,535 patients prescribed statins, and determined an unacceptable diabetes risk.
